It's going to be my first DSLR. First, I thought oh yeah... I'm going to to have a new DSLR but after deciding this the real problem came in front of me, which I think most of you had faced.
Yes, this is the same question I was going through.
So, I started looking on the internet. I didn't want to spend a lot but I wanted a good camera too.
when I started looking for the DSLR I was searching " best DSLR under $600" and something like that.
After the research of many days, I came out with 2 cameras.
1. Canon EOS 700D:
Canon EOS 700D 18MP Digital SLR Camera (Black) with 18-55mm IS II and 55-250mm IS II Lens, 8GB card and Carry Bag
2. Nikon D5300:
Nikon D5300 24.2MP Digital SLR Camera (Black) with AF-P 18-55mm f/ 3.5-5.6g VR Kit Lens, Card and Camera Bag
WHICH DSLR SHOULD I BUY?

2. Nikon D5300:
At the first sight I was attracted towards Nikon D5300 because of the higher megapixels it is providing almost at the same price but then Canon EOS 700D is providing 2 lenses 18-55mm IS II and 55-250mm IS II.
These two things made me more confused.
Now the time was to go out and ask some professionals
I started contacting some professionals and half of them were with Canon and another half with Nikon.
Ahh, another big problem.
So, what now?
But I missed one point in all of the above conversation with the professionals. which was
"Why they are preferring any DSRL, have they used both of them also which kind of photography they do?"
Believe me, this question helped me a lot in making the final decision.
I noticed people who were saying that go for Nikon were more attracted towards the functions and a wide range of other features Nikon is proving in their DSLR-like WIFI and GPS.
Also, the less costly lens of Nikon is another reason.
I also found that the people who were using Nikon were mostly the wedding photographers and people who want more at less price and not much concerned with the final result at first.
Canon: they only talked about the final results. people who choose Canon were the people who go in detail of every picture. They were not much concerned about the cost all they were talking about is the final result.
People who are shooting for magazines, websites and other professional areas.
Before going further I want to remind you that this is my personal experience I'm not against NIKON or CANON.
Back to the point:
after understanding this thing it was the time to make the final decision
And my final decision was CANON EOS 700D.
I hope it helped you in making your decision.
I am excited to share my experience with my new DSLR.
I am not saying that my decision is 100% right you might have your own reasons to go with Nikon.
At the end which ever you chose it also depends on your ability and how friendly you become with your camera.
I wish you the best, the Final decision is always yours.
I would also like to suggest two books which will help you a lot
